Snap, I missed it

I'd wanted to enter this week's Tic Tac Toe Challenge, but I missed it! I was pretty proud of my card and it fit perfectly with the right row down -- Flowers, Bow/Twine and Green:

I used the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration Lovely Lily Pad stamps, dies and DSP

Shannon Fralish for Paper Made Bakery  (c) Stampin' Up!

There are just a couple weeks left to earn these products for FREE, so contact me to find out how you can get yours! Thanks for stopping by and let's not miss out on next week's Tic Tac Toe Challenge!

Extra, extra - get your Valentine's Day Cards!

January's card class was so much fun and the cards using Simple Stories new line called Simple Vintage: My Valentine were a BIG hit! Everyone enjoyed making these beauties, even though there were about a million pretty little pieces!

I challenged our card makers to design a 9th card from the leftover scraps of this kit. We're having a little (random) prize drawing tomorrow morning for those willing to join this fun, informal showcase. Feel free to leave nice comments below if you wish!

Drumroll, please...

Carol D - she doesn't do many Valentines, so she modified these for everyday. Awesome, right?

Bev G's 9th card with her leftovers...

Bev G's 10th card! She even used the last bits of ephemera on mini V-day gifts!
Sandy H's 9th card - love the cross-stitched die cutting!

Sandy H's #10 - that rose looks so real...

Laura H's 9th card

Laura H's card #10 - a little something special.
Jenn B's #9 - love the pocket banner!

Shannon F -- Love Potion #9...loved that sweet little little lady!

Shannon F -- when life gives you scraps, make another card!!

So, what do you think? Great work, ladies! I'll update this post with the lucky draw winner...stay tuned!

ETA: 1. Carol, 2. Bev, 3. Sandy, 4. Laura, and 5. Jenn. Winner, winner, chicken dinner -- Carol D's the lucky duck! Your fun little prize will be delivered when I see you at our February Card Making Class in Fallbrook. Thank you all!

If the Shoe(box) Fits...

I hosted our first Shoebox Card Swap yesterday and it was so much fun! Seven of us got together for a few hours of crafty camaraderie, enjoyed yummy potluck treats, and then made a bundle of really cute cards for many occasions. Here's a peek at them:

Jane Carlson's book fairy

Sandy Hall's elegant thank you

Marie Harper's happy bird-day!

Jana Hubler's red rose

Here's my take on a Big Grumpy

Maria Paulson's poppy field

Jan Catron's big smoochie!

We're looking forward to our next Shoebox Card Swap. If you're in the San Diego area and would like an invitation, drop me an note (see Contacts tab above).

Hope your new year has started out creatively!
