As I'm sure many of you do, I always try to find a local scrapbook store to visit when I'm in a new city. So when I knew I was headed to Texas, I hit the internet and found a couple -- one in Waco called CropPaperScissors. Mom and I got Siri fired up to find this cute little shop.

We were greeted right away by the friendly shop owner, Emmalie Welstead. She let us know that this particular Saturday we could enjoy an adorable make-n-take station. I always jump at the opportunity to make a card, so I headed around the corner and smiled at the lovely lady at the table. My eyes locked on her face and I thought to myself, "this woman is familiar to me, but I've never been to Texas and couldn't possibly know her." Then it dawned on me. "Is your name Cat?", I asked, and she nodded yes. You could tell our brains were whirling trying to place each other. The light bulb flashed on and we realized we know each other as instructors at The Making Place in Escondido! What a small world -- who'd have thunk, right?!
