Sizzix U

I had the opportunity to attend a Sizzix University workshop led by Stephanie Ackerman of Homegrown Hospitality. What a lovely day it was!

The classroom was so pretty and filled with fun, whimsical furnishings and loads of great samples on display.

Stephanie helped us create three projects using her dies she's created for Sizzix, including some super top secret dies being released this summer!

Check out this sample that she stamped with a clear stamp from her Flowers #6 Framelits with Stamps set and then STITCHED!! The set also includes thin metal dies (Framelits) for die cutting some of the fun flowers and leaves!

One of the projects we made with some of Stephanie's dies was this tag mini album. This is her sample -- from Mother's Day. Love the mixy-matchy papers!

This is a great little project to quickly scrap about a mini-event like a BBQ or a girls night out.

Needless to say, I placed a good sized order, so expect to see some fantastic projects coming up on this blog! And you'll likely find several being taught by yours truly in an upcoming crafty workshop (watch for updates in the CLASSES tab above).

Thanks Stephanie and Cheri and Jill and Monika and all the rest of the awesome Sizzix team who made the day so special! Oh, and a shout-out to Anita (the Krafty Wahine) was great to catch up with you!
