Today is your day

Happy Friday! Hope you had a great week! It's Glenda here with another 'It's Easy Being Green' week card. I'm using a button from February 2012 How's the Weather? kit, patterned paper from the March 2013 Signs & Symbols and the wee bit of orange paper is from the June 2012 Cherry Blossom Kit. Remember, check here to purchase some of the previous kits!

The button has a big knob (is there a specific name for that?) on the back. I punched a hole and put it through.  I then popped up the yellow panel with some foam tape.

ETA - My friend Jocelyn tells me that little knob is called a shank.  Thanks!

Since we are talking about eco-friendly stuff this week, I thought I would share some of my tips with you. I keep a lot of scraps and sort them by colour in hanging file folders.  Often I want to keep them with their 6x6 package so I use a butterfly clip to keep whole pad together.  Any scraps I don't use get recycled or donated to a local co-op preschool.  I tend to snag any pretty papers or ribbons that come off packaging.  Best to reuse instead of throwing it out!

ETA: It's my 800th post on my blog!  I'm giving away the March Signs & Symbols kit!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by.  Be sure to pop by on Monday for our April Kit Release Day and Blog Hop! Also, remember to check out Paper Made Bakery on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

Thanks for stopping by,
Glenda J
