I have a dilemma. It's nothing earth shattering, just a bit of a hassle. I'm willing to bet a chocolate chip cookie that you have an idea or two I might be able to use.
Here is my current "working" ink pad area. I made the switch to Memento ink and I don't have a cool storage solution. I don't even have a very efficient area. These are the ones I use all the time:
Below are the ones I use less frequently, maybe for special projects, or use for classes:
Yep, some rarely get used, but I just can't part with them...
How do YOU organize and store your ink pads? Is there a specific container or tool you found that you just can't live without? I'd love to hear (and see!) your best ink pad storage solutions -- leave a comment and include a link to a photo(s), if you have 'em! Thanks in advance -- that {virtual} chocolate chip cookie is waiting for you!
I don't have many, so they fit in my tool bag easily! But I have a friend that has a lot of them also -- and she actually bought a printers tray at an antique store (I see them at antique stores all the time) ... and the pads fit in there perfectly! :)
ReplyDeleteI went with the Memento Dew Drops just to save space...I have the full size in the Rich Cocoa/Tuxedo. I'm betting you could pop those into a cassette tape holder, similar to this:

I have seen this thing on someone's blog but I don't remember whose, use a "cassette shelf", it beautifully holds the inkpad, and she also mentioned that she got it from thrift store for dirt cheap... Hope this idea helps you...
ReplyDeleteI had the same idea as Chitra and Amy.. I have mostly distress inks and I am not sure they would fit into a cassette tape but it is a wonderful idea... as for my own idea I am currently looking for a solution as well... so much for the virtual cookie! lol Good luck, I will be dropping back to hopefully see more solutions!
ReplyDeleteYes I agree with all of the above, I have been on the hunt for an old cassette tape holder to pop in my bookshelf!
ReplyDeleteI need organiztion tips too. Someone used IKEA shelving in a really fun way. The cassette tape shelf sounds like a good idea! :)
ReplyDeleteI'll be popping in to read these comments because I have similar storage dilemma!
ReplyDeleteI know I'm super late to the party but here's how I store mine:

I just use the ink storage organizer from Stampin' Up. It fits 60 pads (with purchasing the extension piece) and it spins, so it takes up less space. I LoVE it! fits all the reinkers (or stickles) in the top trays too.
