I had just a bit of time today, before my 7-year old niece's performance in The Music Man, so I put together this little gift card holder using A Wee Christmas stamp set by Fresh Squeezed Stamps.

I snapped the photo with my iPhone, so excuse the less-than-professional quality, but I thought this turned out pretty cute considering I simply used stuff from my stash.  I'm also proud of the $10 Starbucks gift card inside, since I only paid five bucks for it…suh-weet!

I used a mini kraft bag from Canvas Corp, and that's Authentique paper, Hero Arts shadow inks in pale tomato and green hills, a bit of puffy Liquid Applique, and some Delicata golden glitz ink on the star (the photo just doesn't do it justice).  The red ribbon is looped, so this can hang on the Christmas tree, too.

Thanks for stopping by today -- have a terrific week (and a happy Thanksgiving, if I don't see you before!)

Jingle All The Way

So, I put together the Christmas in a SN@P pocket scrapbook album and love it more now than I did when I saw it at CHA this summer!

There are lots of fun pages made with the various accessories available in this new line:  4x6 cards, 3x4 cards, stickers, and pockets.  Then there are the coordinated pages, dividers and clear pocket pages that come in the blank album itself.

I love that my Christmas album is all ready for the holidays -- just plug in my favorite photos, lists, and other tidbits and I'm all done!  Bring it on, Santa!

Here are a couple more peeks at the inside pages:

I've put a dozen of these kits together for my local PMB folks.  We've got a full house this Sunday, and another class planned for November.

Kits are available for $39 (shipping will be added based on destination), complete with all the product you need, and color, photo-illustrated instructions.  I did add a few ribbon snips from my stash, but I'll bet you could rustle up some yourself!  Click HERE or on the Contact Me tab above to reserve a kit or two -- these will make GREAT gifts!

SN@P Unpacked

It's finally arrived -- the Simple Stories brand new SN@P products for my Christmas pocket scrapbook album project!  I fell in love with this at summer CHA in Las Vegas and knew my San Diego crafty pals would LOVE to make this adorable pocket scrapbook for all their Christmas memories.  It'll be Christmas in a snap!

Here's a vintage looking sneak peek...

Instagram "vintage" photo of all the goodies to make a pocket scrapbook

Our first class is scheduled for Fallbrook on Sunday, October 27.  We'll have another class in early November, so watch the blog for more details.

Here's a (not that great) photo collage of the sample at can see the colors are brighter, the album spine is an olive green, and I love the pops of black along with the red and green.  Soooo cute!

Tiny view of cover & a few pages...

Let's Ink About This

I need some advice.  You know I love to stamp with my über fun Fresh Squeezed Stamps, especially those bold, solid images like in this set called String Me Along, but I'm finding that I'm not in love with the results I get with the ink I'm using, or is it my technique, or???

String Me Along

Is there something special I should be doing or an ink you highly recommend just for these types of images?  My ink often seems to puddle or leave a mottled look.  Ugh.

I've been dying to try the Hero Arts Shadow Inks in the new Mid-Tone colors, especially this one:

So, what is your favorite ink for stamping crisp, clean images with solid or larger stamps?  Better yet, let us know what ink you like best for all the special tasks stampers love to do!  Leave a comment below -- we'd all appreciate the helpful advice!

Have a wonderful day...

Dress It Up

Welcome to the long Labor Day Weekend!  I hope everyone gets to take a break from work to enjoy this final weekend of summer.  The good news?  Autumn is just around the corner and that means fall foliage, apples galore and warm fuzzy sweaters!

This is our final post of August and we're wrapping up our regularly scheduled programming.  :-)  We sure hope you've enjoyed spending time with Paper Made Bakery and our Fresh Baked Kits.  I've loved every minute -- and just wanted to tell you that.  Another BIG thank you to our guest designers this month:  Tenia Nelson, Niki Garcia, Melissa Shea and Jenn Shurkus.  You ladies ROCK!

We'll continue to offer our past Fresh Baked Kits until they're gone, so think about making one a special gift for a crafty friend or relative, or maybe you'd like to put a couple onto your own Christmas list!  We can work out all the details of getting them shipped to just the right person (just about anywhere in the world!)  All of our design team samples, inspiration, and fun ideas will be right here so come on back and enjoy.

So, here's a little card I made with the One Scrappy Dame kit.  I made the origami dress by watching this video and found it to be a fairly simple creation. I've several of these dresses and thought they'd be fun to use for a variety of occasions, depending on the color and patterned paper you chose.  Here I've used the sassy black and white chevron patterned paper for the dress, some ribbon and a little button, then layered it all onto the bright yellow honeycomb card front.  All of this, as well as the clear stamp set, is included in the kit!

The tiny red rhinestones are from my stash.  On the inside of the card I included a white insert layer and then used the fun polka dot border stamp from the You Said It, Sister set with pretty red ink to make a splash -- that's a great border stamp to jazz up any card!

So, that wraps up August!  Have a relaxing weekend and we'll see you at:

Aloha!  It's Niki and I can't believe it's the end of the month already!  I've had a blast being a Guest Designer and playing with the One Scrappy Dame Kit.  This is my last post and wanted to thank Shannon and everyone who has stopped by to show their support.  I'm so blessed to have had this opportunity!  Just take a look at everything I was able to play with!!!

I thought it only fitting that I use my favorite sentiment from the Fresh Squeezed Stamp set You Said It Sister.

So the papers have a little distressed look to it and I wanted to follow along by smudging up my card base to get a grease monkey feel.  Hope you like!  There may be a kit or two left so click here to get yours today!!

Toot-a-loo and MAHALO for stopping by!!!!

Happy Birthday + Review

Hello Bakery Friends!

Melissa here with a fun Happy Birthday card. I'll also include my other projects I've shared throughout the month! After a month of amazing projects and inspiration from all the ladies, hop over and buy your kit HERE :)

Above: for this card I focused on altering the stamps (cut...gasp...the stamp a part! Don't worry-you can mount it back on an acrylic block) and a label sticker (it was a chat bubble but the pointy thingy was on the wrong side!).

A totally fun kit! I want to thank Shannon for having me this month! I wish her much luck with Fresh Squeezed Stamps!

Celebrate Your Special Day

Hey everyone! It's Tuesday, so that means I'm (jenn) back with another post for you! Here is my last card as a guest designer here at Paper Made Bakery. Even though PMB will be no more I am *wicked* excited to see what Shannon will be up to with Fresh Squeezed Stamps! I again used a mix of the papers in the Glitz 6x6 paper pad and the Glitz layering papers. I cut this "scrappy dame" out of one of the papers as well. The fabulous sentiment is part of the  Fresh Squeezed stamps that all come in the One Scrappy Dame kit (the pearls and black cardstock are too!).

Be sure to purchase your own kit, before they are all gone! Thank you so much Shannon for inviting me to design for you- wishing you luck in your extra time devoted to Fresh Squeezed Stamps! Be sure to visit me on my own site for continued inspiration!

Huba Huba

Hello Bakery Peeps!

Melissa here for today's Wednesday post!

Ok, these flair badges that come in this kit, are ah-mazing!

How fun is that "Huba Huba"? Love it! I thought it would be a fun anniversary card.

I had to tilt the card at this weird angle because of the lights and that gorgeous badge, it was bright and shiny and front and center, haha!

thank you

Hey everyone! It's Tuesday, so that means I'm (jenn) back with another post for you! Here is a fun thank you card using a mix of the papers in the Glitz 6x6 paper pad, the Glitz layering papers, the Glitz stickers and the fabulous Fresh Squeezed stamps that all come in the One Scrappy Dame kit (the buttons and ribbons are too!). I absolutely LOVE LOVE the polka dot background stamp that comes in this kit, and stamping it in teal makes me love it even more! I only used a bit of the cherry sticker, and I added a bit of glossy accents to those cherries to make them POP!

One of my favorite tools is my Quickie glue pen, and this is what I used on the word "thank you" with some ultrafine black glitter- it's so pretty in person! Be sure to purchse your own kit, before they are all gone!

Hope you have enjoyed my bit of inspiration today- have a wicked fun week!

Swag and Glitz

Happy Friday everyone!  It's Shannon here with a little card I made using the One Scrappy Dame kit.  I love the vintage, shabby chic style and slightly naughty Mrs. Cleaver-type dames found all over the Glitz products!

I took some "airmail" baker's twine and loosely swagged it across the front of the card, then stapled it to the card front with a Tiny Attacher.  I cut the banner shapes with my Silhouette Cameo using the Kachina (teal) Bazzill card stock, punched circles from scraps of patterned paper, and put the finishing touch on by adding little buttons.  {sorry for the slightly blurry photo}  All that bold color on a black card base makes for a fun, yet striking, thank you note!

Don't forget to grab one of the very last One Scrappy Dame Fresh Baked Kits -- once they're gone, they're gone!

We do have a limited supply of past kits for sale, so check them out HERE.  Thanks for stopping by today and have yourself a fantastic weekend!

Blooming Thanks

Happy Aloha Thursday gang!  I'm Niki, fellow PMB subscriber, back as promised with another fun creation using everything from this month's kit One Scrappy Dame.  The pattern paper included speaks for itself, and makes die cuts look so fab!

The blooms in the corner are actually doily die cuts that I smooshed together in the center and adhered with a button and pearl...all included!  I loved the line pattern paper and used that as my backdrop.

Do you likey?  I really loved that red button and decided to heat emboss the sentiment in red to match!  Here's another peek at everything in the kit...

It's filled with tons of goodies that I know you want to play with!  C'mon go check it out before it runs out!!!
