A Root Beer Float for Two

The Reveal
What's more romantic than to share a root beer float with your honey? Sometimes you just have to do what makes you happy, at least according to die cut wisdom.

The Inspiration
When I saw the fountain glass stamp from the Soda-lighted set, I thought it would be fun to incorporate a stamp with a photo.

The Process
First I took some photos posing with straws until I could get one with the right angle that would match the stamp.

Then I cut just the straws and backed it with some brown patterned paper cut in the shape of the glass to simulate cola. I stamped and colored the fountain glass on a sheet of transparency, which I cut and adhered onto the photo. If you don't have the transparency, you can use the packaging from the stamp set.

After everything was assembled and placed inside the shadow box frame, I added the scoop of ice cream on top of the glass. I hand cut a piece of white cardstock into the shape of a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This part is optional - I added some liquid appliqué for some dimension, glued on some tiny scraps for sprinkles and topped it with a red button tied with brown wire for a cherry.

Have fun playing with the components of your Fresh Baked Kits or using the stamps on your photos. You just never know what you' can come up with.

Thanks so much for droppin' by,
