Patterned Paper Doesn't Have To Be Scary!

I used lots of patterned paper on this one, not so typical for me. But the paper pack from Lilybee makes it easy. First, chose a color that feels "light" which to me means it has a lot of white it it. To balance it out a bit, chose another color that has more "weight", that is, it is more solid in pattern. put these 2 together. You could divide the 2 patterns with ribbon, bling, as I have done here, or washi. Whatever floats your boat!

Then I like to add an embellishment. The kit makes it easy to make your own. I took another patterned paper and punched out the snowflake, I backed it onto a white circle (also punched) to give it dimension and make it look more substantial. A button and twine from Timeless Twine and your homemade embellishment is complete.

I put the sentiment at the bottom on white cardstock because I wanted it to stand out against all the patterned paper. This design is one you can go to again and again!
