Pops loved ribbon candy at Christmas and Grandma would always bring home a bag of the best for him - Brach's. We'd have fried mush at breakfast and the smell of coffee was intoxicating even as a kid. Big, colorful lights on the tree draped in tinsel always made us giddy...and the smell of incense at midnight mass...these are all treasured Christmas memories.

Favorite Christmas tradition is our birthday party of Jesus on Christmas Eve before going to church.
ReplyDeleteThis kit brings back plenty of holiday traditions and gives me ideas about creating new ones. My favorite part of the Christmas season is the cold, crisp air and the warm house with all the twinkling lights on the tree and in the garland scattered about, with the room lights turned down low. My favorite tradition is the gift wrapping parties with family and friends, gift bags may be convenient but there's just nothing like opening a present covered in pretty paper and lots of tissue inside. I love creating the coordinating package landscape under the tree.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite tradition is the stockings...My grandma who is 81 years old has been filling stockings with over 20 staple items such as apples, oranges, whole walnuts, beef jerkey, cracker jacks, See's Candies Lollipops, etc my whole life! She started with her 5 children and then included their spouses and has continued including everyone all the way down to her 10 great grandchildren!! There's 40 of us all together now!
ReplyDeleteSeriously IN LOVE with this KIT!!! FABULOUS!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnother knockout kit! LOVE your new stamp line! My favorite tradition is a huge xmas breakfast cooked by the men. It's delish!
ReplyDeleteVery cool kit. My favorite tradition doesn't really happen anymore. When my sister and I were little, on Christmas morning we had to wait until Grandma and Grandpa arrived before we could open any gifts. It was obviously a VERY important tradition because both my sister and I can remember only one time that we broke with it and that was only because we'd had 5" of snow on Christmas Eve making travel iffy. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteEach year I make at least one clay ornament for our tree. I've been doing this for the past 20 years. Each year when my husband and I put the tree up, we have a little trip down memory lane as we hang the ornaments up.
ReplyDeleteEating until I allllmost POP!
ReplyDeleteI think that I use Sharon Gullikson. Or maybe Sharon G?

ReplyDeleteI do not celebrate Christmas, thus, no tradition for me. If I did, I think it would be unwrapping the presents on the Christmas morning!
Turkey dinner! Yep, turkey with the trimmings (except not cranberries) once or twice a month would not be too often for me.
