Back to school...ah, the smell of freshly sharpened pencils and new crayons! Do you remember the excitement and shopping frenzy leading up to the first day of the new school year? When I was really little I looked forward to picking out my new lunch box (with a Thermos -- no juice boxes back then).
A trip to JCPenney or Sears to pick up new duds -- not my favorite part of the back-to-school routine then

ReplyDeleteLOL thanks for the trip down memory lane!!! Trapper Keepers were after my school days of bell bottoms and platform shoes, the higher the better!! even the guys wore them :)
ReplyDeleteWow, I remember everything! I was too fat for Dittos, lol, never had a pair but I rocked some turquoise gouchos with some yellow knee highs though! :)
ReplyDeleteomg these are cute! what a trip down memory lane :)
ReplyDeleteI went to elementary school in Pennsylvania, junior high in California, high school in Maryland, and college in California! You need to know.....we did not have Peechees or Trapper Keepers back there! But I rocked CSUF in my best preppy outfits in September 1981, despite it being 100 degrees!!
ReplyDeletePS. I LOVE THIS KIT!!! One of the reasons I love Paper Made Bakery so much (OK, I really love Shannon, and thusly, her company!) is that she is so into the vintage looks....this one just takes the cake! I gotta go YouTube me some Ed Sullivan Show!! :)
ReplyDeleteTRAPPER KEEPERS! You just took me back!
ReplyDeleteI use to wear Dittos. Would love to buy a pair; I thought they were great jeans. :)
