You're my Cup of Tea

Pouring Tea
Hello PMB friends, this is Michelle today with another card to share. Last week I only used the negative space of my teapot die cuts and therefore had a bunch of mini-teapot die cuts leftover. I wanted to put those little white teapots to use, so I created this card.

I wanted to capture the motion of pouring a cup of tea so I tilted the teapots and popped them up. I glued on strands of twine in various curves using Fabric-tac. I connected the teapots to teacups using the twine. To obtain the teacups, I imported a JPEG of a teacup into Silhouette Design Studio and scaled it to the size I needed and cut out four images. You can also purchase a pre-made tea set like this one or hand-cut some cups.

This was relatively easy to make. The most time consuming part was gluing on the twine without having too much glue exposed. I wanted to recycle some of the teapots from last week's card, so now I feel better about not wasting my positive space.

I hope you had a chance to look at this month's super cute Two for Tea kit. The stamps and patterns are all so perfectly coordinated to help you obtain maximum cuteness in all your projects.

Thanks so much for stoppin' by.
