You've probably seen Lindsay Amrhein's
fabulous handmade cards in one of dozens of papercrafts and card magazines.
Lindsay's also on several design teams and guest designs for Paper Made
Bakery, Sweet Stamp Shop, The Craft's Meow and Ribbon Carousel. She's a
mom, wife and cardmaker extraordinaire! Here's what you should know about
Lindsay Amrhein:
How would you describe your artistic style?
I'd likely describe my style as a bit clean and graphic, with a smidge of fun
and cute mixed in. Some days I love to pile on stuff and other days I
like a really simple card with lots of white space.
Name your three favorite paper crafting tools:
I have to have my Corner Chomper...love that thing! I must have my
Tim Holtz Tonic scissors within reach. And lastly, stamps and ink.
I know that's more than three, but stamps and ink go together like
PB&J...
What project is sitting on your work table
today? Right at this moment I have some
hot-off-the-press new clear stamps fro WPlus9 and a few new 2012 Hero Arts
goodies. Time to play!
If you could wiggle your nose and make
ANYthing appear, for what would you wiggle your nose?
Oh my! That's a tough one for sure, but I would have to say more
stamps, of course! I would certainly not turn down a pile of fresh
stamps!
What companies and/or publications are you
working with now? I really enjoy working on projects for
Paper Crafts Magazine.
What, or who, is your artistic muse?
Oh my, there are quite a few really talented women out there, but I would
have to say that I am completely inspired by Cristina Kowalczyk and Maile
Belles. They do such clever things with die cuts and stamps!
Where did you go on your last family
vacation? We went camping in Gatlinburg, Tennessee
this past summer.
Tell us one thing about you that hasn't been
printed before: I'm a bit of a health nut, even
though I wouldn't call it nuts {smile}. I enjoy taking care of my body
and seek ways to improve my health through many alternative avenues. I
love fresh vegetables and enjoy wholesome grain-free treats whenever I can make
them.
What are some upcoming classes or events on
your calendar? I wish I could say there were some,
but alas, I'm totally open! I guess that means there is plenty of time to
get crafty!
What is the last class you TOOK?
A standard Copic certification course this past summer.
How do you like to spend your free time?
Make cards, of course! When I'm not doing that I' spending time
with my rambunctious three-year old and trying to keep my house semi-clean.
Tell us about a favorite childhood memory:
Holidays at my grandparents were an exciting and happy time. My
grandfather would be whipping the potatoes in the pot and always dug out a huge
spoonful and would say to me, "hey buddy, have a taste!" It
always made me laugh!
What do you want
Examiner.com readers to know about you? I'm a simple girl who loves to make
things with ink, stamps and paper! I love Jesus, my husband and my
adorable son, and want to live each day with a purpose and a passion! If
I can make one person smile with a handmade card, I have fulfilled a mission.
