Oceans of Love and Kindness

As summer winds down and thoughts of the beach, picnics and tide pools begin to wan, I want to take this opportunity to once again share a summer project I helped my friend Jenn Shurkus work on.  The hope is that folks who appreciate beautiful things, crafty things, things with a beach/nautical inspiration will bid on fabulous pieces being offered by crafters all over the U.S. in a concerted effort to raise money to help a woman in need.

Jenn writes:  Sue Avila was recently diagnosed with lung and stomach cancer. Since her diagnosis, Sue has undergone multiple tests, radiation, and most recently, chemotherapy treatment. Because of her treatments, Sue has been unable to work as much she would like to. She and her family would appreciate any support you can provide to help alleviate some of the burdens they are facing with this illness. Sue is my friend Christy's mom, and I really just want to help her out in some way...

A silent auction of literally dozens of pieces of art is being held HERE and you have the chance to win BIG, both literally and spiritually, by placing the winning bid!  It's amazing the outpouring of support we've seen for Sue through this July project Jenn put together and I hope you'll take part -- FEEL GOOD & DO GOOD -- help Sue and her family through this difficult time.  To learn more, please visit Jenn's blog HERE.  You only have until August 18 to place your bid...

Here's to bright tomorrows everywhere!
