Happy 2011! Today I broke out my newest My Favorite Things A la Mode stamp set appropriately called "Cheers"! I really enjoy following Joanne Basile's blog because of her detailed creations and use of MFT stamps, so the card I created today is based on one of Joanne's cards. Since I didn't get the chance to send out Christmas cards I decided to send some New Years cards instead.
Except for the new A la Mode stamp set I mentioned and Die-namics die called "hearts a plenty", the papers came from Christmas leftovers (Girls Paperie's "Festive Brocade"), vintage sheet music from my Farm Chicks adventure last June, a piece of notecard I cut up and ribbon from a Halloween project. The bling on the "Cheers!" tag is made with the Imaginisce i-Rock tool that I'm becoming very fond of -- it's so easy to use for adding sparkle to any project. The black paper is actually scraps of construction paper from a project we worked on last year at the office. It was going to be tossed out, so I grabbed it knowing that I could surely use it in one of my future projects -- and FINALLY it's found a home!
So now I must recreate this pretty project and get them in the mail to wish my friends and family a happy, happy new year!
