Have you had the opportunity to go away for a weekend, sans kids, hubby, grocery shopping, errands, carpools, housework, and just enjoy some time being creative? If not, you're missing out on a truly outstanding opportunity to "recharge your batteries" and do something special for yourself -- you deserve this!
I recently had the opportunity to gather with friends on Memorial Day Weekend for a crafting retreat we called CRE8.10. This particular group of women meets annually to create paper craft projects that are designed and shared by the others in the group. We chit chat practically non-stop, laugh constantly, share stories and generally enjoy the time we have to be creative. The projects are always exceptional and offer us the chance to move outside our crafting comfort zone. The weekend was full of creativity, we had dinner at a popular local restaurant, browsed the new Urban Barn for vintage treasures and made five fabulous projects! It was a whirlwind weekend but it served its purpose -- to recharge our batteries through creativity.
Paper Made Bakery is offering you the chance to experience a similar retreat in Big Bear Resort this July. The intimate gathering of creative women (and you know you ARE one!) begins on Friday, July 23 and includes over two full days of creative time in a beautiful space just calling your name. The Red Moose Lodge is a new scrapbooker's retreat and is outfitted just for us crafty types! There's lots of space to spread our precious projects and cool tools out in a dedicated crop room. The house has five bedrooms, an indoor jacuzzi and sauna and is close to all the Big Bear resort amenities. And, the icing on top is that I'll host two exclusive classes this weekend that guests at this retreat will be the first to share! If this sounds like an opportunity you don't want to miss, contact me and I'll provide you with more details and get you registered! This intimate retreat is limited to 8 guests, so don't delay.
I'll post again about this retreat soon...do something CrEaTiVe today!
