Expressions of Joy

Greetings! Welcome to the first Tic Tac Toe Challenge of November --

I was inspired by this week's board and an event that I recently attended. More on that later...

Here is this week's challenge board:

I went with the bottom row: Stripes, Black, and Heat Embossing and here is my card:

I used Taylored Expressions stamps, dies and enamel dots, plus Distress re-inkers and watercolor paper to create the rainbow background. The stripes come from the "negative space" in the original cutting plate called Diagonal Stripes. I had the opportunity to attend this year's Taylored Expressions Stamp Joy event and learned so many cool techniques, and this was one of them.

Which row on the challenge board inspires you? Dig into your stash and put those inks, stamps, papers, and embellishments to good use! You just never know what beautiful things can come from a Tic Tac Toe Challenge!

  1. I just ran across the TTTC for the first time. I ended up here with several clicks that started at the Paper Players Challenge Blog. Your card jumped out at me. It is FANTASTIC!!!! I love the rainbow watercolor negative die cuts, and I love that sentiment on the vellum. The whole thing creates a stunning, wonderful and hopeful card. I LOVE it!!!!!

  2. Your card caught my eye at TTTC this week. I usually prefer subdued colors for sympathy cards but this is bright and colorful yet peaceful. Love the stitching on the negative space of the plate. TFS.
