Fold-A-Long

Here's my first attempt using the new Sizzix Jar Fold-A-Long die set by Jen Long. I loved the concept when I saw it at CHA and new I'd have many uses for such an adorable interactive die set. For this one I used products from the February kit, which includes Echo Park's Spring 6x6 pad -- I love the colors and patterns (as mentioned previously!)

Closed with a belly band

I created a belly band closure. The paper bow was made with the Stampin' Up! Bow Builder punch. I really like it! The butterfly tag and die cut banners are part of the Spring ephemera pack, also included in the kit.

Opened with the insert

I can see this set being used to create a variety of invitations -- can't wait to host a BBQ!!

I may have one kit left after tomorrow's class in Fallbrook. I'd love to have you join us -- contact me and I'll save a spot for you!

It's all about the patterns

Welcome back -- so glad you could join us!

Here's another fun little card I created with stuff from the February kit. We'll make this in our workshops, so be sure to click on the CLASSES tab above for the details.

You might think I'm enamored with the new stamps from Art Impressions -- and you'd be correct! This set is a new Mini Spinners featuring the cutest little raccoon and a yummy birthday cupcake.

Can you see the baker's twine? That's what makes this interactive card so fun. You "wind up" the cupcake and the raccoon, carefully close the card, and when your recipient opens the card...the images spin around!

Back side of card front -- CUTE!

Hang in there!

The patterned paper is from the new Echo Park Spring 6x6 pad, which is included in the February kit. The lovely Bazzill cardstock used on the base and the scalloped sentiment backing is also included -- African Daisy and Granny Smith...bright and cheery!

I'll be back with another card we'll make with this month's kit. Welcome spring!!

Hippity Hoppity

I'll preface this post by reminding you I live in San Diego :-)

Ah, the sun is shining and it'll be in the 80s today. Before this weather makes you believe we've skipped right over spring and landed in summer, let's revel in green grass and springtime blooms.

With CHA goodies arriving daily, I thought I'd use several of them with our upcoming February kit to make workshop samples. Be sure to check out the CLASSES tab above for details and schedules.

This is a sweet little card using the new Art Impressions Try-fold set called "Blessings to You". Their newly released Try-folds are minis and super adorable. This one makes it appear you're looking through the meadow, peering at that little bunny.

Here are the layers "peeled back"...

Now I can see this card being sent for Easter, sure, but wouldn't it also make a sweet baby shower card, too?

The kit will contain loads of brand new products like a 6x6 patterned paper pad from Echo Park, appropriately called Spring, and its coordinating ephemera pack. Inside the pretty package you'll also get a sweet Avery Elle stamp set, coordinating cardstock, and lots of goodies to embellish your cards.

Stop by tomorrow for another peek at what I've made with our February card making kit -- I hope to see you in one of our workshops soon! Or, maybe you'll grab one of our kits...
