Hey...

Hi everyone, Vera here today.

This time I decided to do some patterned paper fussy cutting to create my card. Luckily, most of them are straight cut, except for the bow.

I finished this card in less than 10 minutes and all the parts come from 1 of the sheet from the paper pad. The bow comes from one of the tag on the paper, but instead of using the whole tag, I cut it apart and just take the bow.

Take a look at your patterned paper and see if you could pick a design or two that you can take apart to create a new look.

Do you have the Vintage Daydream kit yet?

Coloring Outside the Lines

I so admire those artistically gifted crafters who can color stamped images so beautifully. Our DT member, Piali, is the perfect example of such an artist.  Even though I couldn't be called a genius in the field of coloring (hee hee!), I love to play!

If you do, too, what is your favorite coloring tool?  Are you a Copic marker gal like me, or maybe you prefer colored pencils?  Here are some interesting coloring tools that are somewhat new (at least to me) -- have you used any of them?  What do you think?

Derwent Inktense Pencils Not your standard colored pencils, but pigment ink for, well, intense color.  I found a nice video tutorial on them HERE.

Spectrum Noir alcohol-based markers are created by Crafter's Companion.  HERE's a very basic video tutorial that demonstrates blending.

Copic Ciao 6-pc Sets may be Copic's response to the 6-pen sets introduced by Spectrum Noir.  I think these sets make it easy to start your Copic collection. HERE's a great video for beginners.

Gelatos by Faber-Castell are a pigment stick that glides on creamy color with or without water.  They look like little chapsticks, cover like pastels, and appear to give a smooth, rich color base.  Watch THIS general tutorial with the emboss/resist technique and the Gelatos!

Happy crafting!

Hang in there!!

Hello Everyone!!

Its Piali here sharing a simple card using Vintage Daydream Kit.

Stamps, papers and Sequins are from this month's Fresh baked kit ...only added the cloud stamp from the previous PMB kit.
I colored the images with Inktense Pencils...I colored it while the ink was a little wet. The ink bleeds a bit to give a natural watercolor look.

Vintage Daydream kit is still available ...

So did you get your kit yet ?

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Hello PMB Fans!

It's Amy T with a baby card:

Well, it's actually for a co-worker of mine that is in her third trimester of her first pregnancy....she's counting down!  This will be perfect for her!  I love the Lagoon textured cardstock, it gives the onesies a fun look, dontcha think?

The white cardstock is from my stash and so is the silver glitter tab....I had to glitz up the tag.  The Fresh Squeezed Stamps are sweet, aren't they?  The onesie snaps are heart shaped!  Love that darling detail!

There are still some April Vintage Daydream kits available....buy yours today!

Light me up

Happy Friday everyone!  It's Glenda... and I'm here to make a confession.  I'm showing you a card today which has something on it that I have never used before.  A doily... I'm not really a doily kinda crafter but for some reason it seemed to work here.  What do you think?

I've added some Diamond Glaze to make the jar look like glass (left it on a plate on my warm oven to get it to harden quicker).  I clipped off the top of the jar and added some silver cord from my stash.  All the rest of the goodies are from the Vintage Daydream kit seen below.  Do you have yours yet?

You can always find Paper Made Bakery on Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend.

Money Holder Gift Card

Hey everyone ... it's Angi!

May is fast approaching. High school seniors and college students will be gearing up for graduation. I've got a fun idea for graduation gifting!

Kiddos love to get cash don't they? Why not make a pretty card to go along with it! I used the yummy Crate Paper in this month's kit to make mine. The size of the card goes along with the dimensions of the bills too.

See the pretty flower card? it's also included along with other ephemera in the kit. You can easily use a colored paperclip to hold money in place.

This is a quick and easy project. Everything that I used is from the kit except the flower. It's from my stash.

This month's Fresh Baked Kit is called - "Vintage Daydream"

Happy Creating!

You Light Me Up

Hi there lovely creative peeps. Vera here.

For my card today I decided to play with my favorite tool of all time. My Silhouette that I affectionately call Mr. Q. And I still have my original Silhouette. It's an oldie, but a goodie. :)

I love using bird die-cut and cut it out of the chevron pattern paper. Then I thought it would be more fun if the bird carry a lantern. I simply stamp, color and then fussy cut the lantern. I find fussy cutting very relaxing. How about you?

All the materials on my card come from this moth Vintage Daydream kit. Thank you for swinging by here.

●●just a note●●

Hello Paper Made Bakery Fans!

It's Amy T here with a card using the April Vintage Daydream kit:

This kit is chock full of goodness...I was determined to use that lovely crepe paper.  I was thoroughly inspired by Paper Made Bakery Teamie and Bloggie Friend, Julie.

Everything is from this month's kit except the vellum/pinwheel die is from my stash.  The red brad is from the January kit and the straw is from the October kit.

What do you think?

The crepe can easily fit on a standard card but given that I also have the pinwheel, it will need to go in a much larger envie:)

Dontcha love the red stitching?  I tell you, colored thread really can add some BAM to your projects.

Thanks so much for stoppin' by!

Hanging Note

Happy Friday!  It's Glenda here... and I'm playing with the fabulous April 'Vintage Daydream' kit.  The papers are so fantastic and one of them in particular reminded me of glowing lanterns.  Oh wait, there are lanterns in the stamp set!

So, you might be thinking, why didn't I use one of the other two sentiments in the kit? ('hang in there or 'light me up').  It goes back to the 'being green' thing we were talking about over the last couple of weeks.  I've made so many cards that have  'coordinating' sentiments and images for challenges, design team work and publications.  Guess what?  I still have them sitting in a pile or I've recycled them.  When I make a card, I want to try and use it if I can.  So, I really wanted to make these lanterns but I also wanted to use the card for something... so I used the most versatile sentiment on the set.  Make sense?

Check out this fabulous kit!  If you are interested in getting the kit every month, there is also the Baker's Dozen Subscription.

Remember, you can always find us on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

Have a fabulous Friday and wonderful weekend.
Take care and thanks for stopping by,

Little moments that happen make me gloriously happy...

Hi everyone!

Julie here with you today with a layout I made with the fabulous April kit Vintage Daydream! :)

Seriously... this is my all time FAVE layout I have  made so far this year!! For reals!! :)

I just love the Glitz crepe paper that comes in this month's kit and I used it as the background of my photo :)

I made these balloons with a piece of 6x6 paper from the Crate Paper pad in this month's kit - I drew balloon shapes and then cut them out and used some twine from my stash to make the strings! :)

I was thinking of a way to make my title without using any alphas -- and then it hit me!! :)

In the 6x6 Crate Paper pad this month -- is a sheet with the wonderful Maggie Holmes handwriting on it... well as I started to read the message on the paper -- I saw two sentences that I thought would be PERFECT for this page! So I cut out two of the sentences and adhered them to my page as seen above :)

Here is the sheet I used :)

Our fabby kit this month! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
