Boy, Gingerbread Boy

The Reveal
Hello, PMB friends, this is Michelle here today with a Christmas card featuring a little gingerbread boy.

The Inspiration
I've been seeing a lot of advertising for the James Bond film, Skyfall, and started to imagine the black and white gun barrel as red and white peppermint swirls. I replaced James Bond's silhouette holding a gun with the gingerbread boy holding a candy cane. I drew everything in Silhouette Design Studio and cut it out in two pieces onto white cardstock using my Cameo. I then and adhered the white pieces onto a red card base. It turned out to be my husband's favorite of my five Christmas Treats projects for this month. So I guess this is a card a male recipient can appreciate.

The Kit
I just love this month's Christmas Treats kit. Besides being cute and festive, you have the versatility of making your projects in the traditional red and green colors, or in the wintery blue and white colors. The kit is currently sold out, but the stamp set is still available with Fresh Squeezed Stamps

Speaking of Fresh Squeezed Stamps, they will be in my neck of the woods this Saturday in Monrovia, CA at Pages from the Heart, my LSS. Shannon and Ryann will be teaching classes and offering some make and takes, so stop by and say hi if you are in the area.

Thanks so much for droppin' by!

  4. I so love it! I would have to cut by hand, but this would make a great card for the men in my family.
