Sentiment Banner Tutorial

Hi there.

It is Lisa Arana again with a simple tutorial for today.  I'm so excited to play with this month's Sunday Afternoon Fresh Baked Kit.

Isn't it lovely.

PLUS... Sweet Stamp Shop was super sweet to make PMB this exclusive stamp set available in the March 2012 kit NOW.

See that sweet sentiment banner.  I'm going to show you how easy it is to create with one simple tool... a 1" square punch.

First, stamp your sentiment on a strip of paper.  To make it easy on yourself, stamp the sentiment and then trip the paper to size.  This trick will work on any sized paper under 1" wide.  If you have something wider, you just need a larger square punch.

Next, slide in your strip of paper so you see it through the backside of the punch.  If your strip is too long, just tear off a bit of the end.  Slide it along to reach the desired length of the banner.

Make sure the 'arrow' corner of the punch is in the center of the strip and both sides look even.  Might take a few practice runs on some scraps to see how the punches turn out.  After a few tries you'll be pro.

And there you have it.  Super easy banners.  If you wanted a double punched banner, just do the other side by leaving yourself some room on the strip of paper.

That's all from me.  Have a super Saturday.
