My Favorite Things - Coffee, Creating and Copics

It was almost beginning to feel like fall was in the air and Halloween just around the corner.  Right up until the thermometer began skyrocketing into the triple digits this weekend.  Today it was 111 degrees in Escondido!  So, in an ode to autumn and that spookiest of celebrations, Halloween, I pulled out some Papertrey Ink patterned paper, My Favorite Things' latest A La Mode stamp set called Miss You A Latte and punched out a well-known symbol to all coffee lovers to create this super layered card for my friend Kristin.  No doubt, it's really fall in New Hampshire where this card is flying!  This project also allowed me to play with my new set of Copic markers -- the quad-zeroes!  That's 10 pens, one from each color family in 0000 (plus C00 and W00).  These are very fun to layer color and will soon become a favorite!  If you'd like your own set of these babies, give Shannon a jingle...she knows just where to get a set for you (and offer a nice discount to fans of Paper Made Bakery).  Enjoy autumn, even if it's only in your mind...

Countdown to Halloween

I've created this adorable "advent calendar-style" countdown project to help those anxiously awaiting the Great Pumpkin or other such spookiness to make it through to All Hallows Eve (aka Halloween).  This adorable chest of secret drawers can be filled with haunted treats and, perhaps, a treasure map!  Everyone will love this project when it’s brought out year after year.  Kit includes vintage tin mold, game pieces and lots of snazzy embellishments.  You’ll fill the drawers with goodies, little notes or secret tips that lead scavengers to fun surprises!  These kits are almost sold out -- only four left!  I'm hosting a class at Jazi Crafts next Saturday, September 25 at 1:00 p.m. where four lucky hobgoblins will get to make and take home one of these beauties!  Contact Michelle at Jazi Crafts (760.414.9645) to reserve your kit or spot in class.
